Games In: Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, Castlevania Legends, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Description: "A Wyvern is a subspecies of dragon that has two legs. They are very popular in the mountains of central Europe and Sweden. They are also called 'Lindworm' and 'Vouivre.' The name comes from the old French 'wyvere,' which means both 'viper' and 'life.' Today, Wyverns are described as dangerous predators (the first picture is a type that shows up in Vagrant Story); however, during the Middle Ages, they were considered as a sign of strength to those who bore the symbol. For this reason, they were frequent in heraldry. Since the flag of the Wessex, an Anglo-Saxon kingdom, displays a Wyvern, the creature also appears on the flag of the British 43th Infantry Division, which was known as the Wessex Division (as seen in the second picture).(See also Death Dragon.)"
