Mega Man 5

This was the only one of the Game Boy games to feature a unique plot-line and enemies. Though Dr. Wily showed up, he wasn't the main enemy of the game. For once, the robot bosses weren't named "[something] Man," either; instead, they're named after planets in our solar system. The "Stardroids," as they call themselves, are listed below.

Mercury

Mercury has a unique ability among robot bosses, as he can steal power-ups and energy with his grab attack. When damaged, he'll turn into himself into 3 little globs, all of which are dangerous to touch as they form back into one being. He has 2 variations of that attack.

  • Weapon used: Grab Buster
  • Weak against: Black Hole

Venus

Venus hops back and forth, creating little bubbles that go after Mega Man. Sometimes he'll create bigger bubbles that remain stationary; they'll either explode on impact with Mega Man or they'll explode on his command.

  • Weapon used: Bubble Bomb
  • Weak against: Grab Buster

Mars

Mars is like his mythological name suggests: A creation of war. All of his attacks involve heavy artillery, which include his photon missiles, land mines—which he'll use as he slides across the ground—and tiny debris.

  • Weapon used: Photon Missiles
  • Weak against: Bubble Bomb

Neptune

Neptune seems to be a very one-dimensional boss robot. In fact, all he does (as far as battles I've had with him) is jump back and forth, throwing little globs of water at Mega Man, each breaking apart into three smaller globs upon impact with the walls and floor.

  • Weapon used: Salt Water
  • Weak against: Photon Missiles

Pluto

Pluto attacks like a rabid dog. His main attack is to cling to the walls and shoot large, circular projectiles downward, them with good accuracy. When he's on the ground, he'll resort to using his dashing claw attack.

  • Weapon used: Break Dash
  • Weak against: Salt Water

Jupiter

Jupiter has only one attack, but it has two parts: (1) He'll jump into the air, hovering above Mega Man, then shoot a powerful bolt of lightning downward while generating power for his next attack, and (2) After gathering that energy, he'll shoot a 4-way spread shot downward. He'll then repeat that pattern over and over.

  • Weapon used: Electric Shock
  • Weak against: Deep Digger

Uranus

Reminiscent of Guts Man, Uranus likes to inhabit rocky areas. First, he'll stomp on the ground, making the ceiling lower. He'll then pick up loose boulders from the ground and throw them towards Mega Man, all the while making sections of the ceiling crash downward. He'll also use a dash attack.

  • Weapon used: Deep Digger
  • Weak against: Break Dash

Saturn

It seems that Saturn is always in motion. Besides jumping and dashing all over the place, Saturn has the ability to stop time, furthermore attacking a stopped Mega Man with a rapid-fire shot. When all else fails, he'll attack with his rings.

  • Weapon used: Black Hole
  • Weak against: Electric Shock

Terra

Terra attacks Mega Man early on, defeating him since Mega Man's weapons won't harm him. Terra drops in on him later, leaving him to fight the Dark Moon. Finally, when he battles Mega Man himself, he attacks by dashing back and forth, jumping up and down, using his spark chaser.

  • Weapon used: Spark Chaser
  • Weak against: ??????

Rock Droid

It appears that the Stardroids have been taking notes from Dr. Wily's work. (Well, since Wily's behind the whole plot anyway, it probably is his work.) The Rock Monster returns again for another battle. He still attacks the same way as before: Breaking into pieces and transporting to the other side of the screen, forming whole and letting loose a projectile barrage. This time, though, he changes his transporting style by having his pieces alternate between bouncing and floating over.

  • Weak against: ??????

Entry Guard

This must be defeated in order to enter Wily's Space Node. It attacks with laser beams from either above or below the skull. In between, it will open its jaws to shoot out heat-seeking missiles; it is at that point that it's vulnerable.

  • Weak against: ??????

Sentry Arms

These 2 giant guards, in form of arms, stand between Wily and would-be intruders. The first one stays atop the screen, out of range, and moves back and forth before crashing down with a devastating blow. The 2nd one fights relatively the same way, except that it sends out a heat-seeking missile after crashing to the floor; furthermore, it will try to pick Mega Man up between its fingers and crush him. The eyes representing its wrists are their weak spots.

  • Weak against: ??????

Wily Ship #1

Wily constructed himself a ship that is invulnerable to all of Mega Man's weapons. However, to beat it requires using its own fire power against it. It attacks in a pattern: (1) It'll have a magnetic robot float out and try to force Mega Man into the spikes lining the ceiling, (2) Heat-seeking missiles and (3) Timed bombs. It's weak to the bombs it throws out, but no other weapons will do.

  • Weak against: ??????

Wily Ship #2

As Wily's 1st ship falls to the ground, the ceiling will fall halfway down with it. So the fight will be confined to a very small area. All he does is shoot ground-traveling shockwaves along the floor, trying to get Mega Man to mistime jumps so he crashes into the spiked ceiling. The capsule containing Wily is its weak point.

  • Weak against: ??????

Sunstar

The Stardroids were a ruse, a plot by Wily to raise this ancient robot. However, Sunstar quickly makes it known to Wily that he has no allegiances—that's he's solely a creation that lives for destruction. As a fighter, he lets loose a powerful laser attack, following it up with a ground attack. When damaged enough, he'll use a powerful flame blast to destroy the ground, bringing the battle downward. The battle will continue this way until someone is destroyed.
