Mega Man 8 As in Mega Man 7, the 8 robot bosses are separated into two groups, with a stage in between.
Tengu Man DL #057: Tengu Man is this game's master of the skies. He has 3 kinds of attacks: (1) While hovering, he'll release a spherical ball of wind that can entrap Mega Man and carry him into the gaps on either side of the screen, (2) Hovering, he'll use his tornado hold, which blows Mega Man upwards, where Tengu Man flies at him and slams him to the ground, and (3) He'll back up and begin using a dive-bomb attack repeatedly.
Astro Man DL #058: Astro Man is quite the talker. He has the ability to transport to any area of the room he wishes. The two spheres hovering on either side of him protect him from attacks, and he uses them to attack Mega Man. His most powerful attack has him disappear and reappear quickly, generating his astro crash meteor shower.
Sword Man DL #059: Sword Man will try to impress Mega Man with his abilities. Firstly, he'll crash to the ground, forcing a huge boulder to fall from the ceiling, crushing Mega Man. Also, he'll split apart into 2—top and bottom—sending his top part, whirling his sword around, in Mega Man's direction. Finally, he can use his huge sword to slash and generate a huge flame.
Clown Man DL #060: If his stage didn't drive you nuts, he'll certainly try to. Clown Man's main attack is to attach himself to a latch mid-screen and swing around the room using his thunder claw. When grounded, he'll try to jump at Mega Man, using his claw to electrocute him.
Search Man DL #061: The first 2-headed robot master, Search Man is 2 minds thinking at once. Since he likes the hunt, he'll often camouflage himself, hiding behind 1 of 3 bushes; he'll then pop out and attack with torpedoes. Also, he'll hover in the middle of the screen and shoot out his homing sniper missiles, giving Mega Man something to dodge rather than focusing on his own attack.
Frost Man DL #062: This absolutely huge boss represents a big obstacle. His most frequent attack is to lunge at Mega Man, sliding across the ground until he hits a wall. If angered, he'll pound on the ground, causing icebergs to fall from the ceiling; he'll then lunge and slide, clearing the area. His other attacks include pushing big ice blocks in Mega Man's direction.
Grenade Man DL #063: Grenade Man likes to take punishment as much as he likes to dish it out. Clinging to the walls, he'll jump back and forth, shooting a 3-directional blast downward. Without warning, he'll stop to shoot one of his devastating crash bombs. When low in energy, he'll take out the floor with crash bombs, leading to an area below. The only difference is that there's less space.
Aqua Man DL #064: Aqua Man will spell out his name for Mega Man, in case he doesn't know. Aqua Man's 3 attacks are somewhat predictable: (1) He'll jump across the screen, signaling that water from below is going to shoot upward, (2) He'll suck up water from below and shoot it out in one motion, it changing directions only at 90-degree angles, and (3) He'll stop short and throw out a barrage of water balloons.
Drop Penguin This boss' chamber has 4 slots atop the ceiling. It, as well as 3 other objects, will fill those slots, changing after each attack. The 3 objects will fall from their slots, each posing an obstacle to consider while trying to attack the penguin—be it just a block standing in the way or a missile barrage. Also, the penguin will drop one of his own attacks to further distract Mega Man.
green devil Using the same conceptual plan as used in the creation of the Yellow Devil, Wily created this. To damage him, Mega Man has to break through the layers between its eye until it's exposed. At first, it transports by melting himself into liquid and slipping into the grates in the floor, popping up somewhere else. His attacks are as follows: (1) His eye will descend from the ceiling, commanding the gel to form into spikes and stab upward, and (2) The eye will quickly fly over a small area and command a wave of gel. When his energy is low, he'll use the familiar attack: Break apart and fly across the screen piece by piece.
Wily Ship #1 Wily's latest ship has a couple of attacks of its own: (1) It'll throw the round blade, located on the bottom, either rolling or bouncing forward, (2) It'll drop and blast 2 torpedoes forward, (3) It'll charge into Mega Man, (4) It'll shoot a progressively- spreading electrical attack, and (5) It'll power up and unleash a short, powerful beam attack.
Wily Ship #2 Yep--another teleporting ship. While doing the usual teleporting, he'll unleash 3 different kinds of attacks: (1) The 4-circle chasing projectiles (last seen in Mega Man 7), 4 bombs that slowly follow Mega Man around, and (3) An expanding-range circular spread shot. The capsule containing Wily is the only vulnerable area.
