Cornell's Ending, cont.
Cornell, after reflecting on his encounters with evil, feeling guilty over hiding his man-beast secret, attempts to tell Ada the truth; she cuts him off by telling him that everything is all right. Cornell stills feels guilty about it, though, as he thinks over his meetings with Ortega and Dracula and their painful words.
Before they decide to head back to rebuild the village, Ada reveals that she already knew about Cornell's secret. Cornell is unsure of how Ada could know such a thing, and he quietly questions her words. Free from that burden, however, Cornell smiles as he, Ada and Henry walk home, into the sunset.
Roll Credits.
After the credits roll, we cut to another scene. This one shows Death, Gilles De Rais and Actrise in the castle keep, right in front of Dracula's casket. Since the keeper of Dracula's sleep was defeated, they use Cornell's powerful wolf form--which was captured in a crystal after Cornell projected it outward to save Ada from that very crystal--as a sacrifice in an incantation to grant Dracula life in a new body; it's decreed by Death that Dracula will rise soon in a new body, hinting he'll take the form of a child (describing Malus' characteristics).
