Leon's Ending

After Walter's defeat, Mathias appears and of course reveals that he was behind the whole plot. He used all of them--Leon, Walter, Sara and Rinaldo--to accomplish his goal of becoming the possessor of eternal life, to curse God, who he blamed for Elisabetha's death. He asks that Leon join him in eternal life, but Leon refuses. So, as the leader of the undead, he orders his servant, Death, to finish off Leon.

On an unearthly battle field, the Belmont undauntingly battles with and defeats death. They have the following conversation:

Death: "Unfortunately for you, as long as my master survives, I will rise from the dead..."
Leon: "I see: Give him this message."

Upon Death's banishment, the castle begins to crumble. Leon struggles to escape while dodging the falling debris.
