This manual is being broken into two pages because of the sheer size of both the manual and file sizes. But first, some notes from the contributor:
"Like in the Japanese manual, the story does take time to tell of the assassination of Prince of Austria in Sarajevo, in June 1914, leading to WWI and suggesting Bartley did take a role in all this. Like in the Japanese one, the name 'Gwendolyn' is never mentioned, although a 'fiancee' is indeed confirmed to exist. Finally, the European manual (supposedly like the Japanese one) mentions the dark, 'witched' powers of Eric's spear. Also worthy to notice, while the U.S. manual mentions Simon, Trevor and even Christopher, they're nowhere to found in the European manual. I think this is of course because American fans were a lot more acquainted with the series. Dracula's Curse, for example, only came to Europe in October 1992, and by that time no one cared anymore about the NES. European fanbase was small, so mentioning Christopher and Trevor was pointless, only Simon could have been barely recognized. I think this partially explains why we always get an anonymous 'Castlevania' instead of '-Circle of the Moon,' etc."
