The game has two endings, depending on which of the two characters you defeated Dracula with.
John Morris' Ending
John stands on a nearby mountain cliff while the England castle crumbles to the ground (who would've guessed?). These words follow, with the last line only received for completing the game in Expert Mode:
"The resurrection of Dracula has been averted.
However, the blood of the vampire hunters still courses through his veins."
Roll credits.
Eric Lecarde's Ending
Eric stands on a nearby mountain cliff while the castle crumbles to the ground (oy). You're again informed that you've foiled evil's attempt to raise the Count. It then tells you that Eric has fulfilled his destiny and will move on to other challenges (ala Ryu in Street Fighter 2 and Kain in Final Fantasy 2). These are the exact words:
"Thus, Eric has fulfilled his destiny as a vampire hunter.
Now he must venture forth into greater unknowns..."
Roll credits.
