We awoke in Doina fully refreshed for some strange reason. But a good reason nonetheless. We again hit a shop in Doina that sold pastries and danishes along with orange juice. So we again ( for many days ) ate well for breakfast. As we finished eating we visited a shop that sold Garlic and Laurels. Now that all of us knew what powers they held and could do. We ended up using all of what was left of our money on those 2 things because the final confrontation with Dracula lay straight ahead. After putting the garlic and laurels in our knapsacks and pockets. We headed out of Doina.
" It's hard to believe this could be our last day here " I said
I think the girls were more relieved than anything.
" If this is the last day we're here then I'll be glad of that " said Mairead
I think I could see in the girls' faces they completely agreed with Mairead.
" Look , only a few more locations and we'll hit Castle Dracula or as some want to call it Castlevania "
I said
In a way I wanted to ladies to relax a bit. Yeah I didn't want to be stuck in Transylvania any longer than they did. But I wanted to chill a bit.
" Where do we have to go through and to Justin '' asked Hayley
I opened the map once more and the ladies surrounded me.
" Well , from Doina, we go through Dora Woods, until we hit a fork in the road. We'll go right and into the town of Yomi. After Yomi we'll have to venture through the Vrad Graveyard. After that will be the bridge leading into Castle Dracula. And then finally Castle Dracula for the final battle " I said
After reading that I could see the grim determination in the ladies eyes.
" If that's all we have to go through then let's get going " said Chloe
So we went through Dora Woods first. We battled more harpies and skeletons but they were pushovers by this point. We finally reached the fork in the road and like I said earlier we all headed to the right into the town of Yomi.
" There looks like no one's here '' said Lisa
" Well, seeing that we're near Castle Dracula. I'd believe it '' said Deidre
We walked through the town and there was no one here. We even checked inside the shops. The place was completely deserted. So we left Yomi with grim determination on our faces. We braved through the harpies, bats, and mummies of Vrad Graveyard until we reached the bridge. It turned out we had reached another dead end. As the entrance into Castle Dracula was blocked off by blocks. We threw holy water on the blocks but nothing happened. I kneeled with the Red Crystal once more and nothing happened.
" Ok I'm getting just a tiny bit frustrated '' seethed Hayley
" Calm down Hayley, we'll figure something out " comforted Chloe.
I had an idea.
'' Let's break out all the body parts. Something has to work " I said
So we took out all the body parts and threw holy water against the blocks. Surprisingly they exploded.
'' Wow, 5 bags and holy water was all it took to break down that wall of blocks " said Meav surprised
" Even I'm surprised '' said Mairead
" Let's move on, our destiny is waiting " said Orla
So we marched across the bridge and entered the Castle Dracula or as the people around here called it, Castlevania. Castle Dracula inside looked run down. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The columns looked broken. But we didn't pay attention to the scenery. Not with us at the end. We reached a couple dead ends in Castle Dracula but we threw holy water to destroy blocks and make other passages to go through. After making our own route by destroying the blocks we came upon the final stairway and headed on our way down to our final battle. Once we all were on the bottom floor we marched our way into the final chamber. Before we entered the chamber Simon's spirit appeared before us.
" This is your last battle. You've battled hard to reach this point. Don't let me down. One hint for this final battle is to use garlic and plenty of laurels. That's all I have to say " said Simon
" We won't let you down Simon '' said Mairead
After Simon faded we entered the final chamber. Which was dead silent except for a pedestal in the middle. We walked right up to it.
" Place the parts here, once they're on the pedestal make sure you have time to grab your garlic and laurels " I said
We placed all the parts on the pedestal. And they glowed in the air and formed as one. Before settling down on the pedestal. A flame surged to the roof as Count Dracula appeared. We broke out our weapons.
" Now!! Throw the garlic!! '' I yelled
We all threw garlic everywhere as Count Dracula began circle and fire using dark magic at us. We dodged. And then used laurels to remain invincible during the fight as we whipped and clubbed away the best we could at Count Dracula. He soon split into 4 doppelgangers firing at us. However he couldn't hurt us as the effects of the laurels protected us. However, Count Dracula froze as he appeared trapped as he couldn't move as he appeared trapped by the garlic we threw on the ground. We took that as our opportunity to battle him and finish him off. As we delivered the final blow Count Dracula turned into flame and then finally into smoke. We didn't have much time to celebrate as Castle Dracula began to crumble. Frantically we ran up the steps, pass the block paths and hightailed it out of the castle. As the castle crumbled we saw the smoke that was Dracula begin to blow into the wind and finally suck into a grave that we fell down only a few feet away from.
" Is it over, is it finally over " asked Lisa exhaustingly
" It's over " said Simon's
Simon's spirit appeared beside the grave of Dracula.
" You've come through for me, you 8. I'll forever be indebted to you '' said Simon's spirit
We got up and dusted ourselves off.
We looked at the grave of Dracula. And Simon's spirit did as well.
" You won't have to go through this anymore " said Simon
Finally we had all asked together the most important question that pertained to us.
" Can we please go home now " we all asked
Simon smiled.
" Give me the Red Crystal " Simon ordered
I gave him the Red Crystal. Within minutes we were carried in another whirwind. We touched down in the courtyard behind the church in Jova.
" Where are we at '' asked Hayley
" You're in Jova. In the courtyard behind the church '' said Simon
Soon the Reverend and his clergymen joined us in the courtyard.
" You've returned triumphant. The evil that has plagued this land is gone. Peace has returned to Transylvania '' said the Reverend
" I'm very proud of you all " said a voice from far away
We turned around and coming toward us was the Poltergeist King.
" Well done, you've accomplished a lot on this journey. I'm sure there were times you all were sick and tired of it all. But you battled on and that's something that no one can take away from you all. Now hand me your weapons " said the Poltergeist King
We handed our weapons over to him. The cloaks the girls wore faded away. My vampire hunter outfit disappeared. The Poltergeist King then spoke.
" You're a true vampire hunter " The Poltergeist King said to me
He then faced the 7 ladies.
" From this day forth, you 7 will be known as '' The White Mages ". It's been an extremely long time since we had a heroine or two go and fight and be triumphant as you all are " The Poltergeist King said to the ladies
We all thanked the Poltergeist King for his words. Suddenly a voice rang out
" Simon, Simon Belmont " said a voice that sounded like a woman's
Behind a tree a woman spirit in a white dress walked. Simon turned around.
" Linda, is it you!! '' said Simon
" Yes, my love. It is I " said Linda
The spirts ran and embraced each other. The women and I had a great view of what was happening. We couldn't help but smile
" I've waited so long for you Simon '' said Linda
" I have to Linda " said Simon
" Let's go to Heaven " said Linda
" No, not yet. I made a promise to some special individuals who finally set me free so we could be together " said Simon
Simon and Linda then smiled at us and walked up to us.
" Thank you for setting me free '' said Simon
Linda then spoke.
'' Thank you all for what you've done. You'll forever be in our hearts " said Linda
We all smiled and bowed for Linda.
" Now you all want to go home right " said Simon
Those words right here that Simon spoke couldn't have been said better. Before we were sent home we received goodbyes from the Reverend and the clergyman. We exchanged handshakes and hugs. After that was all done. Simon was ready to send us home.
" Grab hands everyone " Simon said
The 8 of us joined hands. Simon and Linda began to float in the air like spirits do. They began to circle all around us. Before we knew it our feet had left the ground. We looked up and a hole was opening through the sky. Simon and Linda led the way. They parted the clouds and we entered into darkness.
