Magical Items
Soma has available multiple options for maintaining his statistics and solving the castle's many mysteries. These are the magical items on which Soma Cruz will rely. Littered throughout the castle are the items that Soma can find simply by searching certain rooms; however, the edible assortment present within the halls may not be plentiful enough for the average gamer, so there will scenarios where the player will have to round up large sums of currency and instead buy the endlessly available stock being horded by Hammer, the soldier salesman. In the end, though, due to monetary restraints, the best way to find health items is to destroy the monsters that hold them. Weapons and Armor
Aria of Sorrow contains dozens of weapons, armors and special goods for Soma to find. Each will render some sort of effect on his stats, which include attack, defense, strength, constitution, intelligence and luck. Soma can find armament in four different ways: (1) Laying around, in regular or secret rooms. (2) It can be dropped by enemies. (3) It can be bought from Hammer's shop. Or (4) it can be collected as separate prizes in the Boss Rush mode. Some of the more advanced weapons--the Kaiser Knuckles, Death's robe and sickle, the tear of blood, and the silver gun--can only be found in the game's Hard Mode.
