Good Ending
To get this ending, you must defeat Maxim in Castle B after having equipped the MK and JB bracelets.
Juste finds Maxim in the heart of the castle, and it appears that his good friend has rescued Lydie. While he learns that it was previously true, he's shocked to find out that the Dracula-possessed Maxim has infected Lydie with the vampire curse by biting into her neck; he is also going to restore Dracula using the six collected body parts and watch as his new leader be reborn in his true form. With that in mind, he challenges Juste to a battle, knowing full well of the results: If he wins, it's another sacrifice to ensure a powerful rising; if he loses, Juste has to forever live with taking his friend's life. Eventually, Juste defeats his possessed friend, and the following conversation ensues:
Maxim is ready to give up and die, leaving the loss as a burden to his friend. Looking up, he sees that Juste is wearing the bracelet that he had given him earlier. The gesture is well taken, as Maxim finds the strength to fight off the possession a bit longer. Unable to wait while these events play out, Dracula makes his move toward the collected body parts, using them to pull himself back together. Though weakened (as he was fifty years earlier), he's ready for battle.
Juste, trusting in his power, defeats the vile scourge. Juste stands over his unconscious friend, listening to Dracula's words.
Only now, after several losses to the family, does Dracula come to unarrogantly realize their power. Despite the loss, Dracula takes great delight in his knowledge that such a family is doomed to forever fight against he and his dark forces in order to retain peace. Regardless of Dracula's banter, Juste gathers up his fallen friends and ushers them out of the castle to a nearby mountain cliff.
After Lydie awakens, Maxim desperately wants to tell her the truth--that Dracula's possession led to him kidnapping her and stashing her within the castle. Juste tries to save face for his friend by avoiding the topic. After much arguing, Lydie steps in and separates them, demanding that not another word be spoken about the matter until they get home. Taking deep breaths, the two fiery youths agree, and they all share a smile.
You can unlock a slight variance to this scene by completing the task of collecting all of the furniture and fully populating the castles' "drab room." Doing this will trigger an easily-missed change: Rather than placing herself between the two heroes, Lydie will instead stand directly next to Juste, clinging to his right arm (this can be seen in the final screenshot).
