The son of Dracula
is, despite his sometimes-confrontational actions, an ally in Castlevania
III: Dracula's Curse and Castlevania Legends while acting as the
main hero of Symphony of the Night. You learn about his testing nature
in Dracula's Curse, where he appears as
a boss whose trust you must gain. His fighting style is similar to his father's,
with three-directional fireballs and your between-attack teleports. The only
true difference is that Alucard--rather than traveling in mist form--breaks
up into a visible swarm of bats, which flaps all around before morphing back
into human form, giving you some clue as to where he's going to reappear.
In Legends, he prefers to utilize his skill with a sword and a bat-dash
attack.
