The harpies are
a race of birdlike creatures who are proportionally human (depending upon
your given mythology). The Castlevania versions are mainly half-woman,
half-bird--a mostly airborne assortment that takes to flying high above their
prey, sometimes erratically, before swooping in for the kill, their sharp
claws extended. Their other trick entails the rapid flapping of their wings,
which stirs up great winds that rush toward the heroes, forcing them back
on their heels and to possibly a fatal drop off of a high structure. Check
