6/17/02- So it's been over a year already? I wonder if anyone's actually out there. Anyway: They finally did it--after years of always being a huge fan of this series, they killed my interest dead. It wasn't so much that the Playstation games were largely horrible, but Mega Man X6 was such a thrown-together mess attempting to muster a few extra bucks on a name and idea that ran its course ten years ago that I couldn't even bother finishing it--and there are more such games on the way, sadly. I don't get it anymore. "You can use your more powerful suit from the start, but you can use the regular one if you want, instead, and you can get two new ones, even though none of them matter because you don't need any of them, but you can't enter the castle without a certain one, but if you do, you get a bad ending." - a fellow fan. Remember when it was fun, new and not confusing? That's enough for now. I probably won't be updating this page any longer, since I can't find the motivation to go near Mega Man X6 again, and I have no plan to buy any of the other 628 upcoming games. So I leave this site to you as a shrine of a series that was once great. Maybe I can even merge this site with that of someone who actually cares anymore--so that they may continue updating. If you're out there, let me know. In closing: I hope that Konami doesn't do this to Castlevania. 4/25/01- I received both Mega Man X5 and Mega Man Legends over the past month. For information, images and other stuff on X5, check everywhere; you'll find new stuff all over the place. Even though I probably won't be covering the Legends game here, I had a lot of fun with it. It got a pretty bad rap, which is too bad. Back to updates, though, Mega Man Xtreme characters, as I mentioned, have been put up, too, but there are only a couple of those to be found, due to it borrowing from the SNES games. Finally, a new "select" image table can be found on the main page (here for frames, here without) with more Mega Man feel to it, including sound. 3/25/01- Well, cleanup came a little earlier than I thought. The site should be fully viewable with browsers of all kind. Some sections have new looks, and a lot of them have been updated. Most significantly: A "PC Games" page has been added to the characters section, showing as much I currently could--based on submitted information--on those three games. Characters from Mega Man Xtreme for Game Boy should also pop up in the characters section soon; Mega Man X5 characters, however, will have to wait until I get the game. When I get around to it, the "reviews" page will be changed to something else, since I feel it should go to something more entertaining. 3/21/01- Anyone there? It's been a while since I did much of anything with this page. Checking up on it after dedicating all of my efforts to the Castlevania site, I feel that this page needs almost a complete makeover, since I lacked vision when putting it together. I've decided that I'd like to keep this page dedicated to the true Mega Man games (read: not Mega Man Legends); I may change my mind about that in the future. One day I'll pick up Mega Man X5 and begin making those changes. Until then, all efforts will be towards the other site. 9/27/00- Thanks to The Video Game Museum, my little site has a new abode. You, as well as I, can now surf through the site without an abundance of ads and long loading times. Everything is uploaded and working fine, though the Xoom site remains intact just in case something goes wrong. When I get the time, I'll finish up on all the incomplete pages and add new things accordingly. 9/7/00- Finally completed the character section, adding pages for Mega Man X2 and 3. Also, added some of the characters to those game to the Mega Man X main character page. Next, added some characters to the miscellaneous page. Finally, added some more weapons to the Mega Man X section of the weapons page. A reviews section has been started, but it will be a while until I add something to it. 8/13/00- Completed the manuals section, spanning over most of the games in each series, with Mega Man Soccer included. I'd include some of the others, but they're in Japanese. Also, added some items to the first page in the weapons section. 8/5/00- Got around to adding the Game Manuals section; only one page has been added to that so far. Also, finally completed the stage section—for now. In the near future, I'll add pages for Mega Man Legends and the Mega Man X Game Boy series. 8/4/00- Added some story elements to the Mega Man X2 portion of the Mega Man X story page. It's involving the battle with Sigma, where more proof that Zero is Wily's creation is pointed out. Also, added a Marvel vs. Capcom page to the game list section. Finally, started a Mega Man X stage listing in the stage section. 8/2/00- Added descriptions to the remaining Mega Man X characters, including the ones in the bosses-only section. Added a Game Boy stage listing to the stage section. And I finished the Mega Man 8 weapons page, plus added some X4 weapons to the Mega Man X weapons page.
