Castlevania Chronicles is the name under which past series' titles, from both here and in Japan, will find new residence. Rather than scrounging up a typical anthology, Konami has chosen to re-release the titles, one by one, for any number of game systems. This will give the company a chance to reintroduce to the public the games they either (a) grew up playing or (b) missed altogether due to the series' broadened yet understated presence. This will also go a long way in introducing to other countries the titles to which they've been oblivious; such examples include Akumajo Dracula X68000 and Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. These updated versions to our favorite and lost games may carry many surprises: Updated graphical presentation and music; retold stories; new areas; new enemies; or new character, box and game art. The Chronicles titles will be covered here, starting with the title listed below.

Other titles more familiar to the masses are always finding themselves re-released as part of compilation packages. Konami will at times stuff two or more related titles onto a game pak or CD and put it on store shelves for collectors or even those who would like to discover the series' past in light of their recent discovery. These packages will be listed separate from Chronicles entries.
