Sonia's Soul
Powers

Item Name: Soul Wind

Sonia wasn't able to use the five sub-weapons usually associated with Belmonts (hers was a side mission aimed at instead recollecting them for future family use), but her own innate soul power worked fine in their place. Her first power is Soul Wind, which is her answer to the stopwatch; activating it will stop in their tracks all enemies that dwell onscreen.

Item Name: Soul Flame

The Soul Flame--which causes a sudden, violent flash--will damage every enemy currently captured onscreen. Though, its range of influence is confined and not overly effective against non-bats; that is, most enemies can easily survive its wrath. Still, it's useful for weakening up surrounding enemies, particularly when you're climbing while under assault from those winged fiends.
-

Item Name: Soul Bat

The Soul Bat is very similar to the Soul Flame in use; though, this mystical mammal's power is more deadly (and it's attained not long after the Soul Bat, which makes that weapon even more useless). The flash caused by Soul Bat is strong enough to eliminate all of the minor enemies onscreen without many cases of resistance. Its effect is most comparable to an item-crashed rebound stone.
-

Item Name: Soul Saint

Soul Saint isn't a conventional sub-weapon; it instead augments Sonia's other weapon. It serves to enhance her normal whip-strokes, enabling her to fire from her whip a large scrolling projectile, which is stronger than her normal fireball. However, if she uses this sub-weapon when her whip is powered up to its final form, it's spew both a fireball and a scrolling projectile, making for a considerable double impact.

Item Name: Soul Ice

Soul Ice is most similar to the laurel found in Akumajou Dracula X68000. When Soul Ice is used, Sonia's energy meter will be replenished a bit. Still, any energy gain is a good one. Though, like the laurel, its costly heart consumption will put a limit on its use (at twenty hearts a pop, there won't be many opportunities to use it).
